We believe the Bible is God talking to us.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:20-21
God is one, but is manifested in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that they are co-equal and co-eternal.
Matthew 28:19, John 15:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:7-8
We believe Jesus is God’s Son and that He has been with God from the beginning of time.
John 1:1,14 , Philippians 2:6-8, Isaiah 48:16
We believe a shallow understanding of sin can inadvertently give people a shallow understanding of God’s mercy.
Romans 2:4, Psalm 51:1-4, 17, Luke 15:11-24
Separate from works and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. We don’t believe you can earn your salvation through good works, but that salvation should produce good works.
Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:8-10, 2 Timothy 1:9
As a direct command of the Lord, and that this ordinance is for believers only as a symbol of the their identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We believe water baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward work.
Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:11-12, 1Peter 3:20-21, Hebrews 11:29, Acts 8:26-38
Separate from works and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by God to help believers— He is not a spooky “force.”
John 14:16-17, 26
It is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this life and is received after the New Birth. We believe all believers have the Holy Spirit abiding IN them, but the “baptism” of the Holy Spirit happens when He comes UPON them.
Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 19:1-6
We believe the private gift of tongues is for every believer for the purpose of building them up in their faith, empowering them to witness, and is used as a vital tool of God in prayer. This is as the Holy Spirit gives the believer utterance.
Acts 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:7, 14:2-4, 13:1, 13; Jude 1:20-21; Romans 8:26-27; Luke 11:9-13
We believe the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see God, and that sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning at salvation and continuing until Christ returns. We believe every Christian receives an initial sanctification (or cleansing from their sins) through Jesus at salvation, but it is their responsibility to continually “sanctify themselves.”
Hebrews 12:14, 2 Timothy 2:20-21, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, 1 Corinthians 2:11-15, Philippians 3:12-14
We believe healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands; and that it is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. We believe in the healing power of God that was made available to us through Jesus Christ.
James 5:144-15, Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24, Acts 10:38, Romans 8:11
We believe Holy Communion should be taken as instituted by Jesus Christ in remembrance and in honor of the New Covenant. We believe communion is important and is referring to a spirit of faith, not a timeline.
1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-32
We believe marriage should only be sanctioned between a man and woman and that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in other than in the context of marriage between them. We believe God originated man, woman, and His covenant for them with their well-being in mind.
Genesis 1:27, Hebrews 13:4
We believe in tithing and the giving of offerings, as written in the Word of God and affirmed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe the tithe is the first 10% of any increase. An offering is any amount above the tithe. Ultimately, when we do things God’s way, we are blessed to be a blessing!
Malachi 3:8-10, Matthew 23:23, Proverbs 3:9-10
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ shall return for the Church and that His coming is near.
Acts 1:10-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
We believe in eternity and that those who physically die in their sins without accepting Christ are eternally lost and therefore, have no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. We believe Heaven and Hell are literal places, and that the terms “eternal” and “everlasting” have the same meaning of endless existence for both the saved and unsaved.
Revelation 1:5-6, 20:6-15, Exodus 32:33, Psalm 69:28, Hebrews 9:27-28, John 3:16
